We constantly get asked the question, “What does shed removal cost?”. While it is hard to give an exact quote, most shed removal projects cost between $750 and $1,500. That price includes all labor, hauling, cleanup, and disposal.
For example, if you have a smaller shed that is relatively easy to remove, your price is closer to $750 or less. If you have a large 20′ long shed, you can expect to pay a shed removal contractor around $1,500 for removal.
Can I Remove a Shed Myself?
You can absolutely take on a DIY shed removal project. We actually wrote a guide on how to demolish & remove an old shed by yourself. With that said, there is a high risk of getting injured, as well as the amount of time it takes to knock down and clean up an old shed.

They said the had a crew in my area the next morning and could be here at 9am. Arrived right at 9 on the dot and got straight to work. I had a large pile of debris from the house that I needed to get rid of. I called A+ Junk Removal and spoke with Sal. He was extremely professional and very personable. This is an excellent company to deal with. I highly recommend! They were punctual, friendly and communicative throughout the entire process. From the first call, to the estimate, to the contract details, to start day/time, to what to expect day of and clean up day. It is very hard to find this level of customer service anymore! We hired them to tear down an old cinderblock/wood garage. It was right on the property line and didn’t have much room for error. A+ took the garage down no problem and did a great job with haul away and cleanup. You can tell they know their stuff. Sal always returned calls and emails. We got a fair price and a job well done! I definitely recommend and would work with them again if the need ever arises.

What does a shed removal cost?
The cost to remove an old shed depends on the size, access, and complexity of the project. The average cost to remove a shed is $750.
Can I remove a shed myself?
You can absolutely take on a DIY shed removal project. We do not recommend that though, as the potential for injury and property damage is extremely high.
Do I need a permit for shed removal?
Most of the time, a permit is not required for shed removal projects. With that said, it is best to check with your town to be sure you don’t need a permit.
Can I burn removal debris from a shed?
While some homeowners are tempted to simply burn their old shed to save on dump costs, this is a bad idea. The reason for this is that sheds are typically made out of pressure treated wood and asphalt shingles. These materials are toxic when burned.
