The average cost to tear up & remove carpet and padding in a small room is around $200. That price includes all labor, hauling, cleanup, and disposal fees.
Carpeting tack strip and padding staples removal are the two items that are not included by default in our carpet tear up quotes. The reason for this is the tack strips can often-times be reused for new carpeting.
Padding staples can take hours to pull up, so it is best left as a DIY project after we do all the hard work for you. This helps save you money on your carpet removal project.

They said the had a crew in my area the next morning and could be here at 9am. Arrived right at 9 on the dot and got straight to work. Contacted Sal to have some old boxes removed, called me the next day to set up a time to estimate the work. Came first thing the next morning and gave me a great quote. We agreed on a wonderful price and literally 15 minutes later he was here with his truck cleaning out our boxes. He was done quickly and efficiently! This is an excellent company to deal with. I highly recommend! They were punctual, friendly and communicative throughout the entire process. From the first call, to the estimate, to the contract details, to start day/time, to what to expect day of and clean up day. It is very hard to find this level of customer service anymore! We hired them to tear down an old cinderblock/wood garage. It was right on the property line and didn’t have much room for error. A+ took the garage down no problem and did a great job with haul away and cleanup. You can tell they know their stuff. Sal always returned calls and emails. We got a fair price and a job well done! I definitely recommend and would work with them again if the need ever arises.

The guys were professional and very nice and personable, making a tough situation much easier to handle. Moreover, they worked until the job was done way over my expectations. Added 3/1/2020: So 18 months later I had to clean out a 2nd floor apartment and 3rd floor attic. This attic was stuffed floor to ceiling with junk and the apartment full of furniture. Sal had a crew there within 24 hrs of my call and cleaned it out in ONE DAY! They even swept up and went through with garbage cans to completely clean the house. How much does carpet removal cost?
The average cost to tear up & dispose of old carpeting in a small room is around $200.
How do I remove carpet myself?
Start at one corner of the room and cut an access hole in the carpet. Pull up the carpeting, and roll it into a large roll.
How to remove carpeting tack strips?
The best way to remove tack strips is with a hammer and pry bar. Slide the pry bar under the tack strip and hit it with a hammer. This will pop the tack strip up. Repeat around the room.
Do you include carpet disposal in your pricing?
All of our pricing includes the labor, cleanup, hauling, and disposal fees. Our service is often-times less expensive than renting a dumpster and hiring labor – and we handle everything for you!
